The paper introduces the concept and model of data element, elaborates the importance of studying data element standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) clinical nursing information. Characteristic operation in nursing document is taken for example to show how to construct data elements of TCM clinical nursing information, the nursing record information metadata directory and the values range of the corresponding code table are put forward, so as to provide references for constructing data element standards of TCM clinical nursing information.
