The ratio of novelty assessment staffs with medical background is investigated in the paper. Based on the above the current situations of medical graduates involving novelty assessment work are described from motivation, psychology status and career vision. Concrete advices on how to promote novelty assessment work of medical graduates are proposed from the aspects of conquering the inner psychology obstacles, upgrading skills and encouraging further studies, etc.
