The paper discusses the necessity of subject service in hospital libraries, points out that service level should be improved through subject service. Taking Library of 94th Military Hospital as an example, detailed subject service countermeasures are introduces. Based on the information requirements of users, embedded service is provided, including special service, local network columns design, user training, knowledge service and humanistic advertising, etc.
