The paper summarizes the main objectives and contents of regional health informatization platform construction from the aspects of standards establishment, medical and health information sharing, internal and external service function as well as health information data center construction, introduces regional health informatization platform construction status both in China and abroad briefly and summarizes the characteristics. Problems，difficulties and countermeasures are also discussed and analyzed from the aspects of economic development, system integration, standard, talent, etc.
