The paper expounds the significance of compiling the standard for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) data elements, clarifies the relationship between TCM data elements and health data elements, introduces the content of TCM data elements compilation, and puts forward the research ideas, steps and methods, so as to provide foundation for TCM information resources sharing and exchange.
