The paper overviews the background of current medical science development, points out that evidence-based medicine(EBM) and transitional medicine(TM) are both the trends for medical development. It discusses how medical library faces the challenges under such background from 5 aspects: subject construction, hardware, software, staffs and system standard, so as to provide references for medical library formulating development strategies.
