Taking Third Hospital of Peking University as an example, the paper introduces the performance optimization strategies of hospital information system, including database design, database parameters adjustment, program design, data archiving and migration. At the same time it explains the optimization strategies combining with practical examples, the whole performance of hospital information system is improved through optimization.
