The paper introduces the connotation of subject service briefly, points out that subject service is the inevitable trend of hospital library development. Combining with the concrete status in library of Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as well as the service characteristics, it puts forward the conception of constructing subject service mode, including concrete service process and guarantee work.
