The paper overviews the development process of medical information retrieval and utilization curriculum teaching material construction in China, analyzes the existing problems including lack of top-level design, delayed updata, deficiency of bilingual textbook and so on. On the basis of above, it puts forward development advices, namely, introducing clinical cases and new scientific research achievements timely, etc.
