The paper investigates the status of the medical information retrieval courses, involving 18 medical colleges or universities in China. It analyzes the course names, the characteristics of courses, class periods, assessment methods, teaching auxiliary platform, as well as teaching contents, introduces the recent reform in Capital Medical University and the striving directions in the future.
