In the paper, the common grounds and the differences among the eight existing Electronic Health Records (EHR) definitions are described and analyzed and the key features of EHR are pointed out. Furthermore, the current status of EHR standardization at home and abroad is studied and some recommendations are put forward. It has a certain reference value for the EHR system construction in our country.
