The paper introduces the foreign studies on the vocational value of hospital librarians, through retrieving domestic literatures about library service, it analyzes the gap between domestic hospital librarians value research and abroad, compares the service practice and reader's satisfaction in Library of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital with other hospitals both in China and abroad, finds out the gaps and future service directions.
