The paper introduces the current use of Wireless Local Area Networks(WLAN) in the library of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,points out problems existing in WLAN management,analyzes the functional demands of the library WLAN authentication system,elaborates the design and implementation of the system,summarizes the use of the new library WLAN authentication system and indicates its prospects.
