The paper summarizes the development predicament of MOOC in higher medical education in China, including the slow construction progress, incomplete system construction and insufficient supporting services. It puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to promote the sustainable development of MOOC in medical education in China and improve the quality of higher medical education.
