The paper describes information service demands in the implementation of scientific research on the special project of severe infectious diseases. From the angle of embedded service, it analyzes the definition of the information service path which supports the whole process of scientific research and its components. Also, it summarizes and systemizes characteristics of the special information service path for severe infectious diseases, designs and implements 4 kinds of services, namely the tracking of discipline tendency and development, information detection in key domains, technical intelligence analysis and strategic countermeasure supporting, and the exploration and promotion of innovative development of library information services.
