By using the Agent technology, the paper realizes the communication between the Laboratory Information System(LIS) and Hospital Information System(HIS). It introduces the overall architecture of information exchange, structure of communication Agent, functions of each Agent and working process. By use of this technology, patients' privacy can be better protected.
