The paper introduces the concept and medical application of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and elaborates on the current clinical research status of chronic disease control and prevention with EHR/EMR data in China and abroad from 3 aspects:cross-sectional study, case control and prospective study, and study on precision medicine. It makes some exploration for better application of medical big data to medical researches.
