The paper studies the construction of a hospital virtual data center based on VMware. Firstly, it makes an overall planning for the construction, selects the virtualized equipment and determines the deployment mode. Secondly, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of virtualization and chooses applications which can be virtualized in hospital-related information systems. Thirdly, it implements the virtualization with the focus on data transfer.
