Based on the upgrading practice of the Hospital Information System (HIS) for Sun Yat-sen University Tumor Hospital, the paper proposes the HIS upgrading scheme from three levels:server upgrading, heterogeneous database migration and underlying framework upgrading, so as to provide reference for safe and efficient switchover in similar HIS upgrading of other hospitals.
