The paper explains the definition, mode, characteristics and advantages of a Small Private Online Course (SPOC). Based on the practice of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, it discusses the methods for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) colleges and universities to construct SPOC and how to conduct teaching reform and classroom innovation based on SPOC. It provides ideas for improving the teaching quality of higher education.
