Taking core journals of medical informatics in America and China from 2011 to 2015 as the research objects, the paper uses the bibliometric and visualized analysis method to analyze the researchers, core institutions, research hotspots, subject education, core journals and disciplinary orientation of medical informatics in America and China, and reveals the development status and disciplinary differences of medical informatics in both countries. It aims to provide reference for the development of medical informatics in China.
