The paper introduces the basic concept of Web technology and the connotation of upper layer service of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), and describes the functions and construction of Web based Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) browsing workstation. The test proves that DICOM picture browsing based on Web can achieve quick sharing of the picture data in the process of clinical demonstration.
