The paper overviews the literatures related to health literacy at home and abroad, summarizes from the aspects of research tools and status of health literacy. It puts forward the advices to health literacy research in China, namely, developing health literacy evaluation tools, paying attention to health literacy status of more people as well as the influence factors and transmission ways of health literacy.
