The paper expatiates on the significance of the building of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and its latest development in Canada, analyzes it's experience in EHR building and puts forward its enlightenment on China, including aspects like paying importance to overall planning and design, reinforcing the building of relevant laws and regulations, and introducing authentication mechanism, in the hope that it would provide reference for China's building of EHR.
