The paper introduces major standard specifications of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) management at home and abroad which are influential, and elaborates on content and implementation content and plan of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention to build O&M management standard and its main achievement-"O&M White Papers", points out that such an achievement can help facilitate the building of standard O&M system, and thus serves as reference for relevant studies.
