The paper dilates upon the building and application of course group, the specific measures for the training of innovation and entrepreneurship capability as well as engineering practice capability relying on subject competition, introduces the effectiveness of the implementation from the aspects of number of participants, prize winning results and derivative results, and points out that it is conducive to the training of university students’ innovative thinking and engineering literacy as well as the improvement of their practice ability.
