The paper analyzes the problems with the collection of neonatal footprints, and introduces the policy basis and techniques for collecting living fingerprints and palmprints. It designs a corresponding system to achieve the digital collection of neonatal footprints by living fingerprint and palmprint scanner, elaborates on the procedure of collection, function module, application effect and direction for improvement.
