The paper takes Web of Science as the data source and conducts a subject analysis on foreign literatures from 2006 to 2019 concerning medical informatics by utilizing two-way clustering analysis software gCLUTO and CiteSpace burst detection algorithms. It also reveals the study hotspots and frontiers in the field with an expectation to provide references for related studies in China.
