The paper introduces the design of a smartwatch-based fall detection system and the fall detection algorithm, etc., evaluates the performance of the system, points out that such a system can effectively monitor the act of falling, reduce false alarm and provide the accurate location of the fall, which can facilitate immediate rescue and improvement of tutelage for the elder by the nursing home.
