The paper delivers the results and problems of national health informatization in China since new medical reform and proffers relevant development strategies in aspects of policies and planning, the building of systems for major fields, data sharing, the application of big data in health and medical care, standard specifications, information security as well as privacy protection, etc., in the hope of impelling the development of national health informatization.
