The paper collects the morbidity data of Categories A and B infectious diseases of China from 1950 to 2018, sorts the laws and regulations related to infectious disease prevention and control in China since the founding of the People's Republic of China, summarizes the main progress of infectious disease monitoring system building, and explains the progress made in the infectious disease prevention and control in China from 3 respects such as the legal system of infectious disease prevention and control, motoring system building and control effect of infectious disease, so as to provide references for infectious disease prevention and control in China in new era.
