The paper introduces the collection progress of Chinese residents' death data since the founding of the People's Republic of China, investigates the changes in overall causes of death of population in the last 70 years with partially disclosed data, analyzes the influence of causes of death, so as to provide references for preparation of relevant disease prevention and control strategies by the state.
