The paper introduces the definition and classification of website characteristics, analyzes the impact of specific and abstract characteristics of online medical websites on patients' willingness to select doctors online, puts forward suggestions on enhancing patients' willingness to select doctors online from aspects of perfecting both specific and abstract characteristics of online medical websites, including improve website functions, select website information contents, enhance usefulness and ease of use of perception, and strengthen the protection of users' information privacy, etc.
