The paper investigates the status quo of Health Information Literacy(HIL)of middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases and analyzes the influencing factors. The results show that the HIL of middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases is at a medium level, while age, education level, annual family income and the number of years of suffering from chronic disease are the influencing factors of HIL.
