The paper expounds the study and practice of health information service in medical library in China, analyzes the existing problems from the aspects of role positioning, institutional cooperation and policy guidance, and builds the public health information service system model of medical library on this basis, then puts forward suggestions for its service strategy, including implementing internal reform, integrating health information resources, innovating service mode, etc.
