Taking the countries with better development of health informatization like the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada as the study objects, with China as the reference object, through the network and literature research, the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the building situation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) in those countries from the aspects of laws and regulations, supporting technologies, health information standards etc., provides references for the building of EHR in China.
