The paper expounds the characteristics of blockchain technology, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the application of blockchain technology in service innovation of smart library, and proposes the service innovation strategy based on the blockchain technology for smart library of medical colleges and universities, including the implementation of smart service management, carrying out smart reading promotion activities, and establishing 5G+VR medical network information database.
