The paper introduces the Healthy China Initiative (2019-2030), analyzes the health informatics education of the top 5 schools of library and information science in the United States, summarizes their school-running experience and characteristics, puts forward the development ideas of health informatics education in China, including attaching importance to, the school of information management takes on the responsibility of education; interdisciplinary cooperation, effective implementation of Health Information Literacy (HIL) education, etc.
