The paper compares the performance of bluetooth 5.0 and other Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and analyzes its advantages, expounds the smart wards design based on bluetooth 5.0 technology, including the aspects of the wards environment control, vital signs collection, wards security, intelligent monitoring of infusion and intelligent interaction, etc., points out that its application is helpful to improve the efficiency of medical staffs, improve the patients' medical experience, and reduce the contradiction between doctors and patients.
