The paper introduces the development status of Internet of Things (IoT) engineering specialty. Combining with the teaching practice of Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, it analyzes the training objectives and positioning of talents for IoT engineering specialty in medical universities and colleges, expounds the ideas and measures of specialty characteristic construction from the aspects of curriculum system, practical teaching system, teaching staff, etc.
