The paper introduces the concept and trend of cohort study, elaborates the design and building of Electronic Data Capture System (EDCS) based on natural population cohort from the aspects of business process, network architecture, functional modules, etc., and analyzes the application effectiveness and deficiencies of the system, so as to provide references for related study.
