The paper introduces the function and structure of the automatic question and answering system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), expounds the understanding method and process of natural language questions in the automatic question and answering system of TCM in detail, including question preprocessing, question classification, keyword extraction and expansion, question model, etc.
