The paper analyzes the status quo, effectiveness and problems of postgraduate education in medical informatics in China, puts forward some reasonable suggestions to promote the postgraduate education of medical informatics in China, including sorting out and clarifying the discipline orientation of medical informatics, optimizing the structure of teaching staff, perfecting the curriculum system of medical informatics, etc., so as to provide decision support for education departments and cultivation units.
