The paper introduces the development background, concept and research status of small data, analyzes the significance of small data in the information resource construction of hospital preponderant disciplines, and expounds the classification, acquisition, management and analysis methods of small data of preponderant disciplines and the construction strategy of small data-oriented information resources of preponderant disciplines.
