Objective/Significance The paper describes the scientific research output of the grade A second-class hospitals in Zhejiang province from 2006 to 2021, and reveals the disciplinary advantages and the distribution of core institutions, so as to support the high-quality promotion of the construction of the common prosperity demonstration area. Method/Process Based on the statistical analysis and evaluation database of hospital scientific research achievements, the evaluation index system of scientific research competitiveness of the grade A second-class hospitals in Zhejiang province is constructed through literature research, interpretation of policy documents and interviews with key figures, and forms an analysis from 2006 to 2021, focusing on the aspects of publication volume, Keywords, institutional distribution and academic exchanges,ect. Result/Conclusion In terms of world academic journal influence index(WAJCI ) journal papers of the grade A second-class hospitals in Zhejiang province,the total number has decreased year by year, but the number of papers published in high-quality and high-level journals has continued to increase.The average number of papers published by the grade A second-class hospitals in 26 counties (cities, districts) in mountainous areas is close to the average level of Zhejiang province. The key disciplines distribution is reasonable which reflects the health needs of residents in Zhejiang province and the characteristics and advantages of discipline construction.
