Abstract:Purpose/Significance To investigate the disciplinary information needs of medical students, and to provide references for the practice of medical information discipline services. Method/Process Based on the four elements of “situation” “gap” “bridge” and “uses” in the theory of sense-making, the information service mode based on the disciplinary information needs of medical students is summarized through the micro-moment time-line interview method, the neutral questioning method, coding and element extraction. Result/Conclusion It is suggested to promote the sustainable development of medical disciplinary information services through reshaping the service mode, optimizing the “core” of information services, attaching importance to the professional competence training of librarians, refining the common needs of medical students, and formulating targeted “special needs” service approaches.
